Stupid VA laws?
a friend of mine bought a metro pass 3yrs ago...the card enables the user to replenish money when low without having to buy a new card each time. One day..his card was deactivated b/c it was reported stallen. the metro center refused to reinburse and told him that what's lost is lost and that there was nothing that he or they could do. He hit the roof and screamed at them as he was demanding his money back. Under the VA law.when a individual screams and curses at a metro worker it is considered a misdeanor (how stupid). Let's assume that the card was indeed stollen, why did it take 3yrs for them to deactivate the card. A guy impersonating as a metro worker called him to come down to get his money...once my friend got down there the impersonater said that he was a metro detective and my friend was under arrest for yelling at the metro worker. My friend spent a night in jail and will be going to court for a hearing. Is this stupid or what? If someone is threatene..

The laws sux. He will probably fair out in court just a waste of time and money. Ironic how he gets arrested 4 that and child molester get home arrest with the very children they molest. Gr8 system but still needs much improvement!!!

Your friend should take a anger management class sorry to hear that bit its like if you go to DMV and get rilled up by one of the clerks you just cannot raise your voice and threaten them. Look its just a card/pass you can always get another one yea I understand that it could be frustrating but there more important things in life and life is way way to short to get spun up and have a legal issue over a rail pass.
