A hot-line for reporting illegal immigrants in Arizona?
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio (along with his posse) has now started a hot-line in Arizona for people to report 'possible' illegal immigrants
~ and this after the 'chandler round-ups' 10th anniversary (where he arrested several hundred illegals, and hundreds of American citizens in order to get them)

I don't see the point of this. The state or county can't deport anyone, all they can do is report it to USICE. Of course, USICE doesn't really care and isn't going to do anything. I think this is just a PR move to get attention.
He is not helping the Feds. The Feds don't care, they aren't enforcing the law, they are ignoring the law and letting millions of people break it. I hope Joe gets lots of attention and sends lots of criminals back where they belong.

because we r all illegal immigrants we were not born on this land. what did they come here for to make a better life for themselves and their families
Just to impress people, it doesn't really make a difference. It's not like all the illegal immigrants in the country are hunkered down somewhere and the feds need special tips to find them.
For every immigrant deported, many more come in. I think people like to scapegoat illegal immigration for a lot of problems, but the bottom line is, like many have said before, without the ultra cheap labour of these millions of people, the economy would grind to a halt.
Build a wall if they're really serious, but it's all hot air, this country's economy cannot function without a steady stream of illegal immigrants

A little of both I would suspect. Joe does love to see 'Joe' in the headlines or on TV. However, he's also trying to help the feds ENFORCE THE LAW OF THE UNITES STATES!!! which many other municipalities won't do.
Racial profiling you say? The only people who make that claim are minorities guilty of breaking the law.
Check the history of the term. The first court case in which this was asserted was the case of two black drug dealers in Florida who were caught transporting a car load of drugs. Since they were caught in the act they couldn't deny it. So, a slick lawer used smoke and mirrors to come up with a bogus defense. Racial profiling does not and never did exist. It's just a cheap way for guilty people to try to get out of trouble.
