What are your opinions/views on data piracy?

Is stealing from the RIAA, MPAA, HBO, Microsoft, or any other such distributor of information age products really wrong? Or is it okay to do it? Is it even really stealing? Does anyone get hurt? Or is it a victimless crime? What are your views on this and why?

Answers:
Of course it's wrong. It's stealing. And it's not a victimless crime.

Recording artists and actors, as well as members of other crafts like directors, screen and song writers, work hard to create entertainment. Studios pay to produce it.

If they don't get paid for their work, there will be no new work.
