What if they dont fingerprint you when you get aressted?

I got arrested for graffiti and the same thing happened. I'm done with court and everything and they still havent fingerprinted me. You luck out sometimes I guess
Interesting, as in most cases if you are arrested and processed, you get printed
Only thing I can think of is that it was such a low level misdemeanor, (fine only) they don't do it

That means the booking officers screwed up. It's a "ministerial" act. Basically, they can make you come back and be fingerprinted. Yo shouldn't be re-arrested; they'll just call you and make you come back. If you refuse to go back, they may put you into custody to make you get printed, but that depends on the state laws where you live.
Some States/Counties require 'booking' before the prelim. In California most Misdemeanors are promise to appear (citations) in the field. If the DA charges the crime then the person gets a letter saying they must be fingerprinted and photographed prior to the hearing date. If they don't bring proof then they get remand to the jail to have it done before they can go home.
