If someone accuses you of shoving them at work, but they lied and it is know they lied, can this person be sued

Answers:
Yes, anyone can file a lawsuit and you might even win a small amount for slander, but what are your damages? Did something happen to you at work because of this lie? I obviously don't know your history with your co-worker, but this seems fairly trivial from your question. However, I do recognize there could be a lot more that you haven't posted. Shoving someone is a battery which is a crime; falsely accusing someone of a crime is slander. Therefore, you have a cause of action, but is it worth the trouble of going to court? Can't this be handled just as well through your personnel or human resources department?

Yes, unless their name is JANE!~!
Not really. You can't sue someone just for being a jerk -- you have to have actual damages. Get over it.
o check with your lawyer, but i know this, if they falsely accus you of stuff like if they say you are g a y than you can sue them, my bro told me and he took governments in college
Sure they can, but you're likely to lose. Even if you win, good luck collecting anything except a bullet.
Grow up. This sounds like playground antics.
You could take it to the TV courtroom circuit and have a whole nation laugh at your foolishness.
