Where do i find out work laws for Tennessee?

i need to know the work laws for overtime in the state of tennessee. i cant seem to find it searching. i just need to know what is the maximun number of hours a supervisor can force you to come in to work(or be fired) during a week. after forty he is paying overtime and giving breaks. but its up to the point of twelve hours a day and its just way too much

Answers:
Tennessee is an "employment-at-will" state -- basically, a boss can do whatever he wants as long as it is not illegal. Asking people to work more than 40-hours a week is not illegal.
You won't be able to find a lot searching, because no such laws exist, but this site may help you:
http://www.state.tn.us/labor-wfd/lsques.
Tennessee has no wage laws concerning overtime, minimum wage, or the regulation of salaried employees. The United States Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division enforces the Fair Labor Standards Act regulating minimum wage, overtime and salaried employees. Further information concerning these matters may be found at the WH division of the Department of Labor web site -- http://www.dol.gov/esa/whd/

Tn has no laws regarding overtime and is a hire/fire at will state- which means that your employer can release you for any reason
http://www.dol.gov/esa/whd/flsa/index.ht...
The link below is to the federal dept of labor- they govern the fair labor act which covers overtime pay but I couldn't find anything in the act that stated anything other than you must get paid for your overtime- nothing about mandatory overtime

If I were you, I would just let your boss know that you are burnt out and gotta rest. Good luck
