If I voluntarily quit my job, can I still get unemployment compensation?

I currently work in a financial consulting firm in California and I have been working here for a little over two years. In October, I will be going out of the country for a length of 3 months and hence I decided to quit my job. I was wondering if I could still get unemployment benefits if I voluntarily quit my job?

Answers:
No, not only because you left voluntarily, but you have to be actively seeking full-time employment and submit proof of such every week.

No.
Sometimes you can, but it's hard. In your situation, I would say no-just my opinion. But I suppose it depends on why you're leaving the country, but I still think it'd be hard to do.
No
I hope not.

No, you can only get unemployment if you involuntarily lost your job, e.g. you were laid off.

Unemployment is intended for people who are out of work through no fault of their own. It's not intended for you to use to fund your vacation.
Nope.
Of course not.
no and please don't mooch the system
Depends on your state, but probably not.
You need to use your firm's benefits plan or severance package, and not the firm's insurance to pay for your vacation. Sounds like you cannot afford your little trip after all, so go back to work for another couple more years until you can earn enough to afford to do so.

*/End of Line.
