Where is the line drawn on freedom?
Do you think that politicans can tell you what you can say? I posted a quesion eariler and don't know what happen to it so I will post again. When do you say enough? Politicans telling us that we have to wear seatbelts while driving in our own automobiles? Do you think it should be our choice? New York City banning certain words that you can't say. Is that going too far. I am not racist at all and I hate racist words, but do you think that we have already lost enough freedom?
Answers:
THIS IS AN EXCELLENT QUESTION.
There is to much government in our lives. People are not realizing it and pretty soon it will be to late. There Will be no privacy anymore.
Your freedom to express yourself ends at someone elses freedom not to hear it. As for the seatbelt thing that law helps keep mine your your insurance rates down.
life liberty and the persuit of happiness
you got the right to swing your fist, but if it hits someone in the face, your rights end where their face begins
the same goes for words-if they hurt another person then it is a type of abuse
if your a person that hates Jesus they have a right like my Jewish mom to say dont talk to me about Jesus
yet as a Jew that come to believe in truth-i speak up to all that will listen-freedom gives you the right to ask this question in some countries like Iraq was you could be executed for such a question
When you get ultimate freedom you will shout it out=i got help from above about true love and heaven too=
prophecied "Unto us a child will be born, a son given, and he will be mighty God, the wonderful counselor, and the prince of peace." Isaiah 9:6
He will lay down his life to make atonement for our sins." Isaiah 52:13-53:12
Revelation speaks of the joy of heaven and the agony of rejecting salvation and the terror of hell forever=weeping and gnashing teeth (chapters 19-22 and see Matthew 24:51 too
and the answer to get there too=
Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life, no one cometh unto heaven but by me." John 14:6
I am a born Jew who let Jesus into my heart to forgive sins and become my best friend.
you can be any religion but if u dont know Jesus personally you basically define God anyway you want to-thus actually your your own god and can change your beliefs at any time-
I prayed, Jesus im sorry for my sins, come into my heart as you promised and be my friend, amen."
Jesus said speaking from heaven recorded by John (Revelation 1:1, chapter 1 verse 1, & 3:19&20 "I love you and ask you to repent quickly even of one lie. Behold I stand at your heart door and knock if you ask me in to forgive sin and be your friend, I will come in and fellowship with you and you wish me." (sup means as in eating together=true fellowship)
prayin for you and best wishes too "And the truth shall set you free." the gospel of John .
Well, In John Locke's Social Contract it states that when Man leaves the state of nature (that being when man is ungoverned) We enter into a social contract. When we enter that social contract we give up some of our freedoms in order to be protected and secured by that government. It's kind of like a give to get back situation. You understand? It's a really amazing concept if you take the time to sit down and read it. So we are not completly free. We live in a governed society and therefor for the protection and security than government gives us we give up certain rights that would be allowed in the Stae of Nature.
