How do you get rid of bed bugs? Is there liability issues if they came from rental furniture?
My mom-in-law rented a living room set from rent-a-center, it was infested with those nasty bedbugs. She suffered with bites and allergic reactions for several weeks before they figured out what it was. Is there any way she can get her $ back for the rental of the furniture? Of course she's having them come take it back immediately. But how do we make sure there aren't any left behind?
Answers:
She should definitely get her money back and even have them pay for her medical bills. It is also definitely plausible that she has suffered long-time mental anguish from this situation. Imagine having to live in fear that your house is now infested!? If I were a jurror, I would buy it! Definitely try and consult with a lawyer specializing in consumer rights or perhaps a personal injury lawyer.

Good luck! Start documenting everything--save reciepts for all costs related to these damn bed bugs. Stay organized and don't give up. Call a local newspaper to report this story to publicize the case--maybe a lawyer will come to you!
Did she suffer any permanent damage from the bed bugs? If not no case, but she might be able to persuade them to give her the money back.
