What do you think about the Border Patrolmen that were indicted for shooting at a suspect?

I think they did not get a fair trial. They were protecting our borders!!
I think there was something screwy about their prosecution and they both need to be pardoned.

They got in trouble for doing there job. They should be praised as hero's.
Anyone who is allowed to carry a weapon that is potentially deadly has a responsibility to be use that force only when necessary. Shooting someone in the back (or butt, if you want to be nitpicky) is an abuse of that authority. So is lying about it afterwards, as is falsifying paperwork. They got what they deserved.
In my opinion, sending our border patrolmen to prison for doing their job is incomprehensible, ridiculous and shocking to the conscience. Is that how we should reward our hard working brothers who have been trying to protect us against the drug dealers, smugglers and illegal aliens? They put their lives on the line everyday that they report for work. Why do we have to take the side of the drug dealers and smugglers who entered our country illegally and condemn our own brave men who were working to help our government keep our country safe and secure?
Their sentence was fair enough for murder YET they didnt murder anyone!
