Answers:
Get a hold of legal aid and the labor board in your area,
you have a written doctors statement that says you have a legal right to be on light duty.
your employer is endangering your life and that of your unborn child.
dont be bullied around by them,
there is plenty of light duty chores that you can do as a nursing assistant,
you could do desk taking and making appointments for patients and handing out final instructions,
even blood pressure checks,
if they do not care enough about you or your unborn childs health then that tells u , you just might need to find a job that does,
It goes both ways in the business world,
one has to care as much as there cared for!
if your employer doesnt care about u or your child then
why should u care about them
take it to court if you have to
Under Life endangerment of an unborn Child!

Talk to your union rep you should qualify for FMLA, but you are still going to have to pay your insurance premium. They do not HAVE to give you light duty. You can go get a temp job that is light duty until your baby arrives.
Talk to your union representative and to your doctor, they might have a list of light duties and paperwork that shows your work that you are entitled to the light duty. If that doesn't work, contact the department of Labor or Employment Affairs in your state and file a complaint. In just about every state, if a doctor recommends or orders light duties and light duties or restricted duties are available, your employer doesn't have a choice.
