Isn't it funny?
Ex-cons have trouble finding jobs and they are refused federal aid to go back to school? Is it any wonder these people have to make money illegallly, therefore ending up back in jail?
Answers:
No. I think its sad that people who atone for infractions get
labeled with the moniker "Ex-con". I don't think Federal Aide is
the answer. Penal institutions need to reform toward making
perpetrators into marketable human beings with socially redeeming values and have pride in their constructive abilities. Spend the Fed. monies on this effort instead.
Yeah, that's hilarious.
Edit: Then stop asking stupid questions.
That's why people shouldn't commit crimes. A good deterrent eh...
You got a point there. Many Ex-cons complain about not being able to get a job and they end up resorting back to the life that got them in jail. The System is screwed anyways with no chance of improvements for those who need a second chance. But then again you gotta consider that Ex-cons wouldn't be in that situation they are in if they hadn't done what they did in the first place. Its cause and effect. If you do a crime and you do the time you reap the consequences.
i have over 4,000 defendants listed with my office. of those, at least 1,500 have had felony convictions (up to and including murder). Every single one of them that wants to work has a job. The federal government gives a tax break to companies that hire people with felony convictions and ex-cons. It is a myth that these people cannot find jobs. Among the many fields that will hire ex-cons are: manufacturing, slaughter houses, construction, factories, food service, uniform services, cleaning services, IT, and lawn services. Many of those jobs pay better than what i make and they have medical, dental, retirement. If an ex-con says they can't find a job they are full of it. There are many services out there to help them find jobs.
Some jobs receive bonuses for hiring convicts, that's usually their best bet.
No its not funny, but they did make the choice in the first place. would you loan money to a person involved in illegal activities?
no and no They should have thought things thru like the rest of us. Why would tax payers want to fund them beyond the time they serve. They are cons.start over and do it right this time.
