Will you help me?

My son wants to go to school in Texas and I have to have a judge sign a statement to that effect. Problem is that I'm in Oklahoma and they (the judge) wants me to go to court and give custody of my son up before he will sign it. This is crazy. What else can I do?

Answers:
Unless you give more info, I'm finding it very hard to believe a court will terminate your parental rights over a schooling issue. Please explain a bit further. And contact legal aid, this is no place to try to find legal answers---the law isn't simple, everyone's situation is unique, especially in family law areas like this.

Talk to your local legal aid office, What the judge wants you to do sounds crazy.
How old is your son?
Emancipation or custody to the other parent/guardian?
Just fill out temp custody papers, get a judge to sign it and your son can go to school. Texas is getting really strict.
