Is there anyway to remove a felony from your record?
I have a brother who was charged with a felony over a white collar crime about 5 years ago, spent a year in prison. He's married and has two children...owns his own home...typical suburb household, but he can't get a decent job because of the felony charge. Is there anything he can do to get it off his record or not have to list it on a job application?
Answers:
He can have his record expunged after a certain time period. Not sure what state you're in but he can hire an attorney when the time is lapsed to do so.

Not really.
He can petition to have the crime removed from his record, but since he did the time, well, odds are no one will give the petition serious consideration.
On the other hand, most employers are only interested in the last 10 years of your history (unless you are applying for a position that requires a background check). So, he has only about 5 more years of worry about it.
Sorry man...the charge is there to stay. Felonies are serious crimes and will haunt people for the rest of their lives.
NO--if you can't do the time---don't committ the crime... I think he has 5 years to go and could be expunges---OK Make sure he gets no DWI tickets...
No
It will be with you for the rest of your life.
EVEN if you have your record sealed or expunged it will still always show up in a n FBI background check for Military or a government job.
Exbunging will only remove it from public record.
Just focus on staying out of trouble and show that you learned from your mistake.
