Do I have a chance in beating my speeding ticket in Georgia,if information on the citation is wrong?

I have just recieved a speeding ticket (15 mph over). When I got home and went over my ticket,I have noticed that there was incorrect information on my ticket. The officer marked the lightning as DARKNESS,even though it was 11 a.m. with nothing but sunshine.
A friend of mine told me that I might have a chance to have the case dismissed in court, since the information on the ticket is wrong.Does anybody know if this is true and if so,where can I look this up?
(Of course everybody says 'I was not speeding',but I have SEEN the cop and checked my meter and mine said 39,not 45.But if the info is printed out wrong, maybe HIS radar was wrong as well?!)
Thanks for your help!

It was a typo and the judge might "forgive" it. Also if it was dark, light, snowing, raining you still where speeding. Maybe his radar gun is wrong, or maybe your speedometer is wrong

You were wrong! Pay the darn ticket! I hate when a police officer makes a typo on a ticket, you think that's a great excuse not to pay!
You do have a right to ask about the radar gun...when was it last calibrated etc.
I don't know if you've got a case or not, but if you're not from Georgia and don't travel thru Ga often, I wouldn't pay it.
YOU: Your honor I would like to motion for dismissal.

JUDGE: On what grounds?

YOU: The ticket issued is incorrect.

JUDGE: Bring it here.

you approach and hand the judge the ticket.

JUDGE: And where is the ticket incorrect?

YOU: It says DARKNESS but it was 11 a.m..

JUDGE: And was there a solar eclipse?

YOU: I don't know.

JUDGE: Denied. now, how do you plea?
Just pay the ticket, it will cost you less in the long run. And SLOW DOWN!
That's won't create enough reasonable doubt to challenge the ticket. Keep in mind that you're going to see a judge likely and they've heard everything under the sun. I would just pay the ticket because the judge will know you're going to try find a reason not to pay it. No offense
No, it won’t get you out of the ticket. The last ticket I got (and by the way, I don't think I was speeding either) listed my court date as a *Sunday* (and it took me four phone calls and a lot of time on hold to find out the correct court date), but it didn’t get me out of the ticket.
