Do you think Marijuana should be legalized for Medicinal purposes and recreational purposes?
Whats the difference between an alcholic who drinks every day and a recreationsl smoker who smokes a joint every night? Why does Marijuana have such a bad rap sheet?

Marijuana has such a bad rap sheet because people are misinformed.
Marijuana should absolutely be available for medicinal purposes. Doctors can prescribe oxycontin, codine, morphine, etc. But they cannot prescribe marijuana? That makes absolutely 0 sense.
And when it comes to private use (i.e. recreational purposes) I say treat it like alcohol. You have to be a certain age to use is, and you get in trouble if you drive impaired.
I couldn't care less. I grow mine, and do what I want. I'm 53 years of age, I'm not having anyone tell me what I can or can't smoke!
Why not? How many times have you heard of someone being killed by a person whos takin a few hits vs someone whos been drinking and driving? Drinking is much more serious in my opinion.

why the difference? because weed can be grown anywhere and our govt cannot find the right way to tax it! once they figure it all out, besides the legal dispensearies , i think casual smokers will be allowed a certain govt allotment for home use only, good question, goodluck

Legal for medicinal purposes but only under strict supervision. Several people I know cant get their priorities straight between their habits and their families. So definetly not for recreational purposes. Bills and family first then extra stuff if you can afford it.

I do not smoke it, but I still think that marijuana should be legal. Alchohol is legal and it is at least as potentially damaging if not more so. I do think that it should not be smoked in the presence of children, but I don't think that anyone should be drunk in the presence of children, either.
I think that those that want to smoke it know how and where to get it ,grow it .
And those who may need it for medical purposes,should have a right to obtain what they need with out penality, And for them it should be looked at as no different then any other perscription med, All of which are being used by someone some where, illegally.
Do I think it SHOULD? Yes. Do I support smoking it? No, because at the moment it is still illegal. Do you want to know why it has a bad rap sheet? Well that is a mess. Long story short though, hemp was(and probably still is) cheaper then wood pulp so groups that did Wood Pulp got it basically made illegal. Congress couldn't make it illegal at that time so there is a whole story with that but doesn't matter because now it became law instead.

Hash leads not only to dependence, but also to mental illness, psychosis and on to hard drugs in many cases. Did you read the question last night from the mum who dreads her 16 year old son getting hold of hash, and the abusive, agressive person he becomes. Have you read the reports of the delusions and hallucinations suffered by hash smokers? Did you know that 50% of young ppl admitted with mental illness are 'recreational' hash smokers? I hope that answers your question.
yes i just had to take a weeks worth of antibiotics so give up booze for that long plus 2 days. without pot i would have topped myself.

life is not fair. maybe you can control your addiction, but i have seen more than my share of people that cannot.
Medicinal. The reason being because it's a fact that a lot of people who start on marijuana go on to take class A drugs and it's a downward spiral. When I was in my 20's this happened to someone I used to know and he was found dead in an alley due to an accidental drug overdose. To the kids on here say no to drugs! Trust me I know what I'm talking about. Also a guy I used to know took so much marijuana over the years that he ended up with psychological problems and is now in a home for the mentally disturbed. I rest my case.
