I need a court date adjourned for like 3 months? Is this possible?

I am in NJ. Would i need to show proof why i cant make it? Or do i even need to provide a reason?And its a traffic municipal court case.

You can certainly ask for one, but you would need a valid reason.

And they are not Judges in municipal court. They are clerks of the court or magistrates or something similar depending on where you live.
