Why dint paedophiles get longer sentences in the UK like in the US?
It really seems that the British justice system is a farce and a joke when it comes to crimes agaisnt children. I have seen men go down for life in the US for years of abuse, here they get 6 years, do 3, and get protected housing when they are released. Is it simply a lack of space? Can we not put these people on boats or to work? It really seems like America has it more sorted it terms of zero tolerance. When will we toughen up and get as predatory as these monsters?

Our sentences are generally less than those of the U.S. While murderers and rapists are released after serving only a few years, it simply doesn't make sense to hand down disproportionate sentences to paedophiles. Remember, too, that prison is a particularly unpleasant experience for them, as nobody wants to be their friend and they are going to be general targets of abuse as far as other inmates are concerned. Those relatively few years must seem to them like a long, long time.

Don't get me started too! The justice system in this country is a joke. You serve more time for lesser crimes over here and I think anyone who abuses a child mentally or physically should be locked up for life. No excuses. Yes we all know the prisons are at breaking point but why not do things the hard way and make people scared of the justice system?! Would that be too much for these poor little criminals?! Has no-one ever thought of that for god's sake? Then people would think twice before they commit the crimes - prevention is the key. Life for murder and and life for serious crimes. I actually this capital punishment is a good idea but then I'm a hard cookie!
Personally I think the families of the victims should be allowed 30 mins with the paedophile to do with what they like. The UK is just too soft on criminals as it affects their human rights. their human rights should stop the second they commit such a horrid crime. Too many people in the Uk get it easy when it comes to punishment. I blame it on the lack of punishments in schools. the day they stopped caning in school the country got worse. Kids have no respect for people and then they grow up with the same lack of respect. It is like drink drivers they should be charged with manslaughter and not careless driving when they kill someone. A life sentence should mean life not a couple of years and then let out. Prisons need to be a place of punishment not a holiday camp where they have tv's in the cells. All they should have is a bed and a toilet in the cell. maybe a tv in a room that you are only allowed to enter on good behaviour and only at weekends. no pool table, playstation or other luxuries. I have always said if i ended up homeless I would rob a bank at least to get a good 5 yr sentence. that way I would have 3 square meals a day and a comfy room and luxuries for free!!
,the sentence should be death they are mentally unbalanced and cannot be cured but of course that's against their human rights in this country the criminal has more rights than the victim which is wrong,if you abuse a child your human rights should be taken away just like you did to that poor innocent child
Normally, I don't like to judge without all the information, but in the case of convicted padeophiles, I sometimes think castration might be one possible answer. After all, a padeophile is never 'cured', so neutering like they do with dogs might be the answer.
No disrespect is intended, here, but, - in the UK, - these evil individuals, should receive NO MORE than SEVENTY-TWO HOURS, in jail, - to REFLECT, on their offences, - before they are DRAGGED OUTSIDE, to the PRISON COURTYARD, and SHOT!
If the authorities require someone, with the WILLINGNESS, to carry OUT such sentences, - LOOK NO FURTHER! I am READY, - and WILLING!
