What is the maximum weight an under 18 is allowed to carry at work?

I am a 16 year old girl still in education and at work I am required to carry weights upto 27kg, we used to be provided with a trolley to move items but it's tires were flat and it's hard to lift items into it, just wondering if there is a maximum weight I should be carrying and if my employers are breaking the law?

Answers:
ask them for better lifting equipment in writing. make them sign it. then if you get hurt you can sue the pants off of them
