Will TATA-mineral factory (Tamil Nadu) divert Tamiraparani to quench their industrial needs?

Not drawing water but, diverting the entire perennial river in Tamil Nadu is easy with the bribe-driven politicians. Parties and politicians utilise these oppertunities to siphen out money form such industries. This was proved already by Pepsi. The poor people of Tirunelveli will bear any thing thrust on them.

ya its good
Yes. Even without resorting to any apprehensions on extraneous considerations, the published draft of the MOU, provides for supply of water by the State, to the plant, till the desalination plant, planned as part of the integrated project, is readied and operational. Naturally, there is o other source than the Tamraparni river. Logically, it will affect the irrigation and drinking water needs, that are presently met by the river, as well as likely to affect the water table sub-soil. The greater impact will be the depth of the mining pits, which may make sea water enter the sub-soil water and salinate the same, having long-term deleterious effect.
