I got a ticket for letting someone with no license drive my car. What happens now?
My car got pulled over for letting someone with no license drive. I didn't know he didn't have a license until this took place. Will me not knowing that he didn't have a license help in court and what happens now?

You assume responsibility to your vehicle at all times. You should not assume someone is legal driving. Always check, may this be a lesson.

and of course, you pulled the trigger. Entrust no machinery and women with anybody else.
In all likelihood, ignorance will not be considered a valid excuse. You'll have to pay a fine, at the bare minimum. It's possible that worse results can happen, depending on your record and the judge's frame of mind.
Ignorance is not a defense in court.
The California Vehicle Code is clear as to this matter:
It is against the law to loan your vehicle to a person who is unlicensed or whose driving privilege has been suspended. If the person is caught driving, your vehicle may be impounded for 30 days. (VC ยง14602.6)
Don't FIGHT the ticket. Fighting the ticket will result in the judge impounding your vehicle. Plead guilty. Look pitiful. Explain that you didn't know your friend didn't have a license, but don't use it as a defense. The ticket isn't anywhere near a hassle as your car being impounded.
