Will my husband get the job at Wal-Mart?
He had all 3 interviews and they made him a job offer and he passed his drug test. But, he has alot of misdemeanors for drug use and he told them that and they did say anything really, alot is 14 but,he was only convicted on 6 of them. So, do u think they'll still hire him?
Answers:
They will screen the rest of their possibilities and decide from there if your husband is worth the risk of liability.
If not he should try McDonalds or tacobell.
if he's going for cashier, sure. otherwise, i doubt it. 6 is still too many
i work at walmart and am 100 percent sure he will be hired he is exactly what walmart wants to hire i have seen much much worse ppl get hired murder, rape ect.. they were all hired some got promoted to manager positions.
yeah prob
well at least he hasnt been convicted on all 16. If not, there is burger-king, the subway, car washes, he would be a shoe in for any one of those!
If any place is going to hire him...it would be Wal-Mart.
I honestly have NO idea! Why did he tell anyone about his misdemeanors? I hope he gets some counseling to learn how to deal with life without using any type of drugs (legal or illegal!). Personally, I doubt that he will get the job if he put it as bluntly as you have done in your post! It makes him sound extremely unstable. Why would he keep re-offending on the same charges? 3 times is considered to be excessive by most people, so 14 is gonna be a "no brainer"!
Sounds like he already has a career.
I don't know where you live, but there sure are a lot of shady characters working at Wal-Marts. I don't think your husband will have any problems.
Only six convictions, eh? Sounds like a real winner.
If none of his priors were for retail theft, he should have no problem. What would get him shown the door however is if they ask him if he was ever in or related to anyone in a union. That is death knell for Walmart
