NC does not have common law marriage. Im from NC myself and i understand what you are saying. Sorry for all your heart ache. If you are a nurse you should have no problem finding a job in NC the part i live has a high demand with great pay! The cost of living in some parts are a little higher and Gas well that for sure is a big problem for all States at this time. You have not said if you are a CNA1 CNA2 LPN RN a cna makes around 10 dollars a hour while a cna 2 makes around 11 Lpn about 12 to 15 and a lpn around 22 to 30 and hour. Depending on what nurses level you are consider resthomes in home health hosiptals and medical offices as part time work. You also have to keep in mind that at your age you can more than likely get some help with social service and retirement is not far away. Most people in NC are not so lucky as you to have a job with so much high demand. State jobs with metal health will pay great with great benefits. and a CNA1 can make around 11 dollars a hour at mental health you will more than likely have to take a self defense class for the ones who are really bad but the state will take care of that . So Keep your head up they are great jobs for you out there and my highest rescept goes to the ones in the medical field!
