How can we stop a unlicensed brothel that opened up VERY close to our house?

Auckland New Zealand.

Answers:
Check with your city council!

Who does not need a certificate?
A sex worker who works at a small owner-operated brothel is not an operator of that business of prostitution, if
* There are not more than four sex workers working at that brothel, and
* Each of these sex workers retains control over his/her individual earnings from prostitution at this brothel.
In this situation, a small owner-operated brothel is deemed not to have an operator who should have a certificate.

" The issue of zoning is complicated by the established existence of brothels in close proximity to schools and churches, particularly in commercial business districts. This seems to be widely accepted. The existing controls by local city councils would appear to be the best method of designating areas in which the industry may operate. Any attempt to include nationally applicable criteria in legislation may run counter to existing operation and rules in district plans under the resource Management Act 1991 to control the adverse effect of activities on the environment. For this reason provision for zoning will not be included in the Bill."

Start taking pictures of their clients. It'll drive away their business... or put a huge banner up that says "BROTHEL".
complain to your city hall and mayor
duh.. call the authorities... unlicensed=illegal, or black mail them, for free services /day.. whatever suits u...
That is what police officers are for. If it is legal in your country, get the community to rally against it. Mothers are very powerful; let them know what is taking place!
"Unlicensed brothel"? New Zealand actually issues a license for a brothel. Hmmm, I may have to reconsider my vacation plans.

Seriously, have you simply tried informing the police?
Report it to the authorities.
tip off the police.
