Santa Cruz has a bad rep?

I have a good friend who is going to Santa Cruz State (SCSU )
but when I told my Dad about it, he started ripping on that school and on Santa Cruz. said it was a "doper school"

What is everyones opinion on Santa Cruz, CA and why?

Everyone knew it was really Santa Cruz in "Lost Boys".
lots of schools are like that. i don't see it as a bad thing. your dad probably just doesn't like weed. better weed than alcohol, at least the grass won't make you hungover or potentially kill you.
