My friend owe child support in arkansas and he now live in illinois can they take his income tax check?
Answers:
you betcha and his drivers license too. It's a federal law not goverened by the individual state as far as HAVING to pay it
Yes they can. The I.R.S. has an intercept list and if you owe child support and you are not current, the jurisdiction where you owe the money will add you to the list and your tax refund check will be taken to pay your back child support.
Yes, they can and they will if they find him. He owes the money for his child and should pay it. Even if they don't fine him right away, they will find him eventually.
yes. it may take a while for the irs to track him down but they will find that. and if u see my x husband pls remind him of that lil tidbit
Yeah they can. As long as his social security number is on file, they can take his income tax check
i knew a guy from ark that owed 5000 which turned into 30,000 fast,an was pick up spent 6 months in jail and ordered not to leave the state till debt payed..which will be many years....
Can, Should and likely will -- moving is not a way of avoiding child support, nor should it be. If you can't keep a wrapper on that thing, then you need to pay the consequences.
First of all, AR is still a part of the U.S.A. so yes, they can and I hope they do.
Second of all, IF he is a decent person, he will pay for his children so no one HAS to take anything. Sounds like another deadbeat to me.
