Teddy Sheringham?
The above has been cautioned for perverting the course of justice, in lying to the police over who was driving his car at speed - a public safety issue! For perverting the course of justice the sentencing guidelines usually point towards a custodial sentence.
Taking into consideration the fact that this was a speeding offence, and that Sheringham must have actually conspired with others for the ruse to work, is it not a little lenient for the CPS to let him off with a slap on the wrist. Or were the CPS just startstruck yet again?
