Need Help on laws of NY?

my ftriend wants to get Emancipated and she doesn't really know how and niether do i I tried looking it up but don't live there so its hard to know if any one knows how she can do this please let me know parents hurt her she wants out idk why cops don't help

How old is your friend? If she is younger than 18, it is going to be hard? What exactly is her parents doing to her that is so awful? Is it a crime?
