I was terminated on bedrest while waiting for short term disability to be approved?

it was approved finally after my termination and before they send me the check there taking out vacation time and things like that for the rest of the year...i thought they couldnt take things like that out of a disability check? and that they had to send me an invoice stating how much i need to payback if so..?
