What is the punishment for robbery?
if it matters, in the state of Illinois. Not like robbing a bank or anything, but I'm thinking like robbing a house when noone is there or something like that. Plz help!

Stealing from a building is Burglary not robbery.
Robbery is stealing from another person by means of threat or intimidation.
Unarmed maybe 2 to 5 years in prison
Armed robbery 10 years in prison
Not to mention the other charges they can add
you'll go to jail FOR LIFE!! and you dont get to keep any of the stuff you toook. dont do it!
