In California, if you quit your job can you still get unemployment?
If your job becomes a problem with health and saftly can you still get unemployment
Answers:
Short answer is No.
Long answer is if you quit your job because of unsafe or unhealthy conditions (if that's what you mean, you don't really state it clearly), then you can possibly get awarded damages if you were injured.
Or if you have disability insurance you might have had a claim before you quit.
If you have documentation from a medical doctor, then you should be covered. It is always better to let them fire you to ensure that you will get it without a "squabble". If the doctor says that you cannot work & need time off, then you must take the time off & if your management fires you, then you have a good case to cover you with any future problems that you MAY encounter in the future. You need to start a workmans comp claim if this problem is not being addressed according to State guidlelines & regulations. Has OSHA been contacted yet? They handle all the safety issues. Then there is the California Board of Labor (or Labor Board). Start with your doctor & TELL THEM EVERYTHING, AS IT WILL BE DOCUMENTED for eternity in your case file! ALL MENTAL & PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS & incidents SHOULD BE INCLUDED!
Not if you just quit.
90% of the time no you cannot. There are specail cases but they need to be reviewed by EDD and your former employer can deny claim meaning you need to appeal. This can take a month or more
