What would our schools be like if abortion were 100% illegal?

Answers:
Overpopulated and much worse, as any intelligent person would leave the country if the nutcases who are against abortion took over.

pretty much like they are now
I chill at the answer
full of bright young children who deserve a chance at life just like you do. what if your mom had of aborted you?
Outlawing it would not prevent it from happening. Women would either find a place where it was legal (if they could afford it) or have a back-alley procedure (if they couldn't). Those who decided to give birth rather than risk the procedure would either dump their babies, give them up for adoption, or try to raise them. And chances are those in the third option would abuse or neglect their kids.

Keep in mind that some women miscarry before they even realize they're pregnant or early in the pregnancy.

So, the schools would probably be as screwed up as they are now, or slightly more crowded and screwed up.
Wow, what a question. Don't know what angle you're coming from, but here's one facet.
We're already overcrowded in heavily populated areas.
We're already seeing children who have disabilites because their parents are drunks who don't teach them anything, children with severe emotional problems, children with AIDS and you can't tell anyone but somehow somebody's gonna find out, children addicted to coke and heroin coming out of the womb.

We already have children who are victms of poverty, and the parents who struggle so hard end up being nasty and abusive.
There are so many bad situations screwing up our kids today, that the less there are of them, the better for everyone.
Schools end up being the parent when the parents can't be, for whatever reason.
If the parent thinks the kid is better off, THEN IT IS.
Allot less crowded .
History has pretty clearly shown that making something illegal doesn't stop it -- it just makes it more dangerous.

We'd have about the same number of people in our schools, because the additional number of births over the past 30 years would be offset by the additional number of deaths causes by complications arising from illegal back-alley abortions and the number of people forced to drop out of school.

We'd have more teen pregnancy -- because again history shows that people do not practice abstinence -- and more teens dropping out of school as a result.

Other than that, not much change.
There would be a lot more people doing it in their own homes.
If it was, I might not be here.
Our schools would probably be a bit bigger, but you wouldnt notice, There would be a lot of happy sterile and Homosexual couples with babies, which is good news since a lot of kids in adoption centers these days are kids. Many who have been left and deserted by there mother, who should have put her baby into an adoption program when it was born.
If it was 100% illegal most people would be happy, since in the eyes of the religious it should be a sin.
There would be more friends pushing friends down the stairs.
There would be more dumpster babies
More young girls would miss school due to medical problems from illegal abortions.
Every school would have a daycare in it.
The amount of students would be the same because girls would die thanks to complications from unsafe procedures and others would drop out to raise their kids, offsetting the amount of extra children that would be born.
I don't find any corollation with abortion and the status of the public school system. What is wrong with the school system is lack of discipline and general parental apathy.Couple that with a tenure system that retains poor teachers and fosters an increasingly overstaffed administrative beauracracy that drains the funding that should be used for education.
it is legal
