Underage buying alcohol online?

hey, im 17 and live in london in the uk, and im considering registering on tesco or other online food store and buying vodkas and other alcohols online, since i have a solo card i doubt that they will even check my age verification, do you think this will work?

Answers:
English law answer: It shouldn't work because the potential penalty for you as an under 18 yr old trying to obtain the alcohol is a potential £1000 ( yes one thousand pounds ) fine and for the store who carries out the delivery £5000, possibly also the loss of any 'personal licence' and 'premises licence' held by them. Whilst people might try and avoid the law by buying on line the offence will be at your door step where the alcohol is handed over. With the present concerns about alcohol abuse, alcohol related crime and under age persons etc. I would expect the local police would love to make an example of you. Don't go there. All these laws are contained in the Licensing Act 2003 which came into force in November 2005.

They will check, and you will be DENIED.
THEY either dont deliver or ask for ID SO WHATEVER YOU DO IT WONT WORK
Here in the US, they have to indicate that alcohol is in the package, then the delivery person has to verify the age of the person accepting the package. So here it wouldn't work. But in the UK, I am unsure of the policies.
It won't work it'd be easier to try and buy from a real store not that i'm advising such a thing
I don' think that at the age of 17 you should be planning how to violate or work around laws.

There are reasons why 17 year olds are not allowed to order liquor. Think about them.
Have you registered for online shopping. Because at the regisrtation, you will have to give your date of birth, also you will have to register a card to pay with.

They will know if the card is registered to a person that is not 18 years of age.
I doubt it will work, but consider, at 17 your body is not full developed, the liver and other internal organs cannot assimilate the alcohol in your system. it is very easy to injest enough alcohol to get poisoning from it, that is why it is a controlled substance. by 21 you are developed fully and your body can deal with the alcohol in moderation
