Suing a doctor. tell me if i am able to do it.?
okay. so i was seeing this psycholgist for about 2 years. i was only there for my ADD. i started getting worse, and am now suffering from GAD, PTSD, Depression and ADD while i was going there. i used to be okay then stress caused all of this. he chnaged my medicated sooo many times. almost everytime i was there because they werent helping, but he was puting me on things that my school and other adults were saying a 17 year old should not be on. sleeping pills, anti-depressants, & concerta. he would always change the sleeping pills and anti-depressants only after like 2 weeks of me being on them. i was also seeing a counselor there. we switched places because we heard things about the psychologist, and went to a different place. we found out he is not allowed to perscribe me medication, and that he was signing a different doctors name, a doctor whom i have never even met before. is this a reason to sue this man?

go to the police and tell them about it. they will let you know what to do. my husband suffers from bipolar and border line schizoid. the is depressed also. they change the meds to make sure they can get them right. if i think they are not helping him the Dr will either up the dosage or change his med. they have to find something that will help calm you down. sleeping pills also helps do this. good luck with what you chose to do.
No you can't sue him, there is no way you can prove he is responsioble for your GAP, PTSD and Depression. Changing medication is a normal presedure to avoid addition to certain pills, so there is nothing wrong with that.
But you can report him to the Medical Board of you state and to the Food & Drug Administration, they will revoke his license if he is indeed not allowed to prescribe medication. He might also face a heavy fine or even jail if he is found to be writting fake medical prescriptions (that's a very serious crime).
No, you cannot sue him yourself. But you can, and should, report him to the state's medical board, the police department, and perhaps the DEA as well, so they can take the appropriate action. Please do this ASAP so he doesn't cause problems for any other unsuspecting patients in the meantime.
You can try but it is hard to get anything out of that kind of case where doctor is trying to help you.
Don't listen to these idiots trying to give legal advice off the top of their heads. You can technically sue people for damn near anything within reason. Winning is another story. You could probably bring some sort of claim if what you say is true concerning his incapacity to legally write you prescriptions. At a glance I think your problem would be proving he caused your injuries considering that he would surely claim that these problems were present before his treatment and were just subsequently "diagnosed." But, it very well may be worth it to talk to a lawyer about this situation.
Ha, FDA taking away his license, huh? Like I said, don't listen to these idiots, especially when they give you straight legal answers, b/c in reality there are none. With few exceptions, outcomes always depend on facts specific to your situation.
Contact a medical malpractice lawyer...
