Petty Theft?

Hi, this is going to sound dumb but one of my friends who is 15 got caught at K-mart for stealing...she stole about 20$ worth of things, this is in Killeen, Texas...now in this town they have a setup called Teen court http://www.texasteencourt.com/who.aspx...
thats the link, now I was wondering can she clear her slate by attending teen court?
