These are all questions your lawyer should be answering for you.
I would suggest one of two things: hire an attorney, or, assuming you already have one, replace him with one who knows the law better than a random, faceless group of people who, for the most part, are barely literate.
Next question.
You're asking for advice that you should be getting from your lawyer. Anyone who offers you advice risks malpractice. This is why no one who knows what they're talking about should respond to a question like this.
But we can offer definitions. A "lid" is a proposed maximum sentence agreed to in a plea agreement. The defendant is still free to argue for a sentence less than the lid at the sentencing phase.
I think if you did the crime you are being charged with - you should plead guilty and not try the not guilty bs. Lies get you no where in life. If you did it - own it and do the time. I am not an attorney but I bet that the judge would have lienency on you for owning it. Nothing sickens people more than knowing someone is lying about their own guilt. If the judge /jury sees through it - you will get the max. Just be honest and tell the truth. Hopefully - you are remorseful - and if you truly are - it will show.
What the hell did you do?
