Is this illegal?

I was outside talking on the phone to my friend, thinking I was being considering for going outside to talk on my phone at 3:30 AM, but apparently not. A disgruntled person suddenly stuck their head out of their window and used a camera to snap a picture of me! I just stared in disbelief as they took another picture and told me to go home because it was 3:30 AM and I was talking too loudly? Fair enough, but I can't believe they took my picture twice! I'm really not happy about this, and I feel like it is a violation of my privacy... Should I call the police? What should I do?

Answers:
o.k, clearly whoever took your picture is insane!

its not illegal though, it happens to celebrities all the time!! so there is no reason it cant happen to you!

I woulda pulled my pants down for the second picture. Thats just me.
As long as he or she doesn't use your photo for monetary gain there is nothing illegal about it...
No, it was not a violation of your privacy. You were outside in full public view of anyone who cared to look. Imagine how celebrities feel with paparazzi hiding behind parked cars, bushes, whatever, in order to take their picture every time they step out to get the mail or newspaper.
Perhapes they were afraid you were up to no good being out so late and waking people up.I think you were in the wrong.
Do you mean "considerate"? To whom?
What privacy?
If there was any crime here, perhaps it was breach of the peace by you. That's the spin that the picture-taker would put on it if contacted by the police.
Somebody talking loud outside my residence at 3:30am, I would have called the Police. It is against the law, it is called "disturbing the peace"
Normal people who have to work the next day, like to get their sleep.
