Are illegal drugs legally used in USA rehabs?
I heard that some rehabs use them to slowly get people off the drugs so they don't have nerves break downs. But I don't understand cuz I thought that pot was the only drug that was legalized for medical use and only in a few states.

Now as far as rehab drugs, it's usually a drug in the same class as that used by the addict, but a medicinal formulation where the dosage and quality are regulated. For instance heroin addicts are often placed on a Methadone treatment program.
Both Heroin and Methadone are Narcotic Opiates, and in theory, they start the patient with an equivalent dosage and reduce the dose over time so that the patient doesn't suffer from the withdrawal symptoms of quitting abruptly.
