My dad, a disrespectful neighbor, and I got in a fight now what?
me and my dad were digging trenches in our road that goes thru our property and the neighbors have a prescriptive easement (which isnt even legal in the first place because our property is along highway 101 in california.) these trenches were meant for drainage of flodded water and to slow the disrespectful neighbors down to keep dust from flying everywhere.
anyways one of the neighbors pulls up to me and my dad disregarding the restraining order he placed on my dad a few months back for harrassing his wife while they were messing on our driveway at night.
and he just hops out of his truck and attacks my dad my dad did what he could swinging the pick axe at the 47 year old 6" muscular beheamoth on his shoulder with teh handle but they fell to the ground and the buff guy grabbed my 50 year old short , overweight father's long hair and punch him in the mouth a few times before i came up and struck the guy off. i then explained to him that i was simply trying to keep them from..

If you talk to the cops make sure you say you feared for your father's life. I would call the cops.

Sounds as if your neighbor needs a good whack with, say, a large vehicle. But what was the question? The only solution to this that I can see is to have them fight to the death or move away. Both are pretty unrealistic, but alot of people are just too immature and obnoxious to be realistic with.
your dad needs to file charges against this guy before he does against you. it will look like you are constructing a defense if it goes the other way around.
if he filed a restraining order against your dad then it goes both ways, he can not put himself into a place where he knows your dad is
