A question concerning delinquent child support?

My mom owes some back child support on me and my brother we are 22 and 25 yrs old, neither of us want this money, my dad also said, he doesn't want it, so we were wondering how we would go about getting it off the records as being owed?

Answers:
Like the first answer, once owed it's owed forever in my state. It can't be bankrupted or forgiven by a judge. All you can do is lie and say it's been paid--and you can't do that before a court, that's perjury. Spend the money for a consultation with a local attorney. Perhaps your state has another alternative.

It depends on where you live. In some states, like where I live (California) back support can never be erased, even when a child is adopted.

The only thing you can do is call the child support department and say your mother paid you directly, or you can give her the money and have her pay it, it will go back to you.
