Confused on if Carlson was correct?

Allie, a minor, entered a contract with Carlson, an adult, for the purchase of a CD player. Later, Allie decided that she did not like the CD player and tried to return it to Carlson. Carlson refused to accept the CD player or to return Allie's money, arguing that the contract was completely valid and that Allie had not right to cancel the agreement. Was Carlson correct? Explain.
