What are the legal aspects of your name being slandered by your "X" supervisor to other businesses??
My friend was employed by the same company for 14 years. He had the same supervisor that he used to be "buddies" with as well as being a co-worker. The supervisor and my friend had a "falling out" and my friend ended up quitting his job. This supervisor is going to other companies telling them not to hire my friend. Is there anything LEGAL we could do to make this stop??
Answers:
Yes, there is, and it is called slander. Getting the proof is tough, and this slimeball will never admit what he is doing. It is better for your friend to look elsewhere without telling ANYONE. I take it somehow, word is getting back to the "X" so that he can keep burning your friend. Secrecy is the key to his finding a new job. Good luck!
