I just heard on CNN McClellan say, "not all pedophiles are law breakers. What is your opinion?

I couldn't believe it. I about fell out of my chair and I was in the next room!! Who is this guy?

Answers:
Most pedophiles who have been caught will not break the law for awhile, but eventually they will, you can count on it! There is medication that they can take that will kill the desire but most stop taking the medication because they need to have that thrill of domination over a young/teenage child. These are sick people that can never be cured. They do not belong on the streets. Perhaps we could put them on an isolated island where they could harm no one but themselves! The really sad part is that they are born this way & cannot help themselves but this fact should not allow us to forget what they are capable of doing & we should protect our youth at all costs!

Perhaps those that have been identified and broken the law in the past are not necessarily doing it now?
He's Mr. McClellan. ^_~ But more towards the spirit of the question, the majority of pedophiles aren't law breakers. The definition of a pedophile is "an adult who is sexually attracted to young children". That's not against the law. A pedophile only becomes a law breaker when they act upon their sexual desires and commit a sexual act with a child.
to be classed as a pedophile means you have broken the law.there is now way to be a pedophile without breaking the law
He's someone who is actually using the term correctly, and not misusing the way most people do.

A pedophile is someone who finds children sexually attractive. Period. The term is NOT the same as child molester. It means only someone who THINKS about having sex with kids.

And thinking about having sex is NOT a crime. Attempting to have sex is. Viewing child pornography is. Actually molesting a child is. But just thinking about it is not, because thoughts cannot be punished.

Just like thinking about committing rape or robbery is not the same as committing or attempting to commit those crimes.

So, kudos to someone who is actually using the word according to its correct definition.
