Is there laws about someone forwarding text and voice messages?
this guy at work went around telling people that we were an issue He was saying "we were doing things at work". We talked on the cell phone and I sent him a few texts. The rumors got so bad that I had to report him to human resources. When they asked if he was saying these things, he told them that we were more then friends and showed them a text i sent him and a let them listen to a message. They dismissed the situation. Nothing bad was said on the text or vioce mail. I thought this guy was a friend but turned out he was an ahole. What are my rights. Can I sue him?
Answers:
No, don't do it again if you don't want your business on the street like that.
Don't lead people on and he shouldn't spread rumors and be a gossip queen
If you used your job's Information Technology (e.g., phone, computer, etc.) then you have very little privacy. The reasoning is that it is their equipment - they pay for it, and it should be used for business purposes. Sorry.
