Have any criminal charges been filed in the case of the woman who bled out on an ER floor?

Police and Paramedics didn't respond to 911 calls because they didn't have jurisdiction. That's understandable.

But for hospital staff to ignore the woman while housekeeping mopped up the blood she was lying in seems reprehensible.

Is there more than a Civil Case here? A way for Public Prosecuotrs to hold the Hospital responsible?

Answer:
According to out local news, the family has filed a civil suit against King Drew Medical Center. They're also talking about suing specific staff members. The hospital itself is up for inspection by the state to see if it is following all of the guidlines to keep it operational. That hospital has had many, many problems over the years. It's a shame too, because a lot of very low income people depend on that hospital for their healthcare. I worked in a hospital for 33 years. I just cant understand staff standing by and not doing anything about someone bleeding out on the floor. It's unbelieveable.

Is it this woman?: http://www.knbc.com/news/13542024/detail...

I went on to read some of the links contained within the above link, and am thoroughly disgusted and appalled. Not only was the woman ignored, but everyone trying to do the right thing were also ignored and even one was condemned to hell, basically, when the operator she called told her "No, you're the one" after she said to him "May God strike you for your actions."

There is DEFINITELY a way for public prosecutors to hold the hospital responsible, even if there was a "queue" and certain patients go first, the BLEEDING and VOMITING ones can always cause someone else to wait a bit longer while they are examined instead.
I'd like to know that myself! I've only heard about it once in passing. Why isn't this thing all over the news? It was absolutely appalling what happened there!
Hospitals are insured.I wish they will prosecute the staff on duty that night. This is sick
Reprehensible is not an adequate enough statement of fact. This is beyond mere words! If this is an example of Socialized health care, I don't want any part of it! There should be Criminal charges filed against them. Their licenses to practice medicine should be revoked in every state!

A few years ago, Congress and most states decided to place LIMITS on Compensation on behaviors and limit civil lawsuits as "frivolous" like these and I hope everybody sees the result. They are enabling bad doctors and nurses to continue to practice medicine to the detriment of those patients. I hope none of them ever encounters these types of health care practitioners! They do not have enough money to give the family for the loss of their loved one, due to insensitivity and medical malpractice. I hope everybody starts writing, calling and emailing them and have those laws changed. Nobody should ever have to endure this type of behavior in any health care facility!
