What is the 'rodgers case'?
I know that the issue surrounding this case is the issue of defendants' background being used in court, but I need details. It's not Rodgers V. anyone, and I can't find it anywhere. Help!
Answers:
Perhaps Rodgers is not the Plaintiff? Is this a Hawaii case?
Generally, when referring to something as "the Rogers case" you are discussing a case known to the individual for whom the document was intended.
In the case of a legal document, usually there is an earlier mention of the case -- something such as State v. Rogers and then later it is referred to as the Rogers case.
In the case of a student doing research for a class, the Rogers case may be something that you studied in an earlier class, or even earlier in that class.
