I need help with something that is going on at work?
Once again I am asking for yahoo crew for help. This is pertaining to an employee that remains here at my company that has tried to kill another employee, fight another one, and acts of harm to another one. We all have gone to the supervisors and nothing has been done to this person only change his shift. It is in the hand book that something like this will not be accepted at all. However, my job seems to keep him here and allow him to continue to put people in harms way. I have been to the ER for stress related issues regarding this issue. Other employees don’t want to come to work because he is here. My question to you is can I sue? How to go about doing so? I do have all documentation on the events that was caused. I only want to sue because the job is not doing anything, like an "I don’t care" attitude. Please help me.
Answers:
report the bad employee it would be pointless to sue
i think you should go to the dept of labor and ask them what to do.
3 problems with your question
1. Hospital for stress related ailments..you sissy
2. Wanting to sue because you are not getting your way? You can sue if you have been wronged suing over not getting your way will be deemed frivolous.
3. Why are you going to supervisors. We have cops for this reason.not just traffic tickets.
Call the BBB, OSHA, or my personal recommendation the authorities.
Also when you go in to work carry a hammer in your belt. When asked why tell your boss' until something is done about the man in question you will not leave the hammer in the car. Maybe they will wake up.
If you truly believed he was a threat, then why are you still working there?
There is a government agency that can help you. I am not sure of the exact name of it but it may be the Fair Housing and Employment Office. If that is not the right one they certainly can tell you which office to contact. You actually have to file a complaint with them before you can file a lawsuit anyway. But instead of putting yourself through all of that stress why not let them handle it for you? Just know you won't be working at that company anymore. You might be better off finding another job anyway.
