Do you belive the police should be more strict in enforcing the law? Should execution be used more often?

Just a poll

Personally, I think our police should be as strict as the military.

Answers:
speedy executions should be the norm. Thin out the ranks of the scum bags.
The Military is fighing for our national security and the Police are fighting for our personal protection. The Constitution does work.

In my opinion, they can afford to loosen up on certain crimes (such as jaywalking) and get tough on others (illegal immigration). As for being as tough as the military, I really don't want to feel like my own country is "occupied".
Laws must be strictly implemented so that there will be no violators.
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm no and yes. Some (not all) police have the superhero complex. Don't give them any more power than they have now. Executions.....yes. With forensics as they are now if it's beyond a shadow of a doubt.yes. Execution is nothing compared to the horrific things that have been done to victims.
The punishment should fit the crime. If criminals feared prison and the various punishments of their crimes(executions,etc.),instea... of treating prison as a badge of honor, then we might have less crime. But as far as stricter cops? I don't think so, a lot of cops are just bully's with badges and are corrupt as hell. And get rid of the victimless crime laws--hint hint--there are no victims when it's by your own choice.
Yes. And, yes.
Enforce the immigration laws.
Capital punishment should not be used because of the number of innocent people who slip through the cracks. 2 confirmed innocent people have been executed, but many experts speculate the unconfirmed number is far greater. If even one single innocent person is murdered by the system, that should warrant it's destruction. To kill just a single innocent person in an effort to punish criminals is completely morally wrong.

Second, in Italy, some criminals serving life imprisonment are petitioning the government to reinstate the death sentence to put them out of their misery, I think that shows that execution is a poor form of punishment when criminals request it.

Lastly, capital punishment has been shown to not reduce crime rates, and at some 60 executions a year it's not like they're alleviating any stress on the prison system when hundreds of thousands of people are in prison.
