Should mandatory funding be approved for veterans health care by congress ?
veterans are fighting for mandatory funding to have the funds to treat veterans for medical and mental health care , so that all veterans get the care they need , not only from this war but from previous wars also . hundreds of thousands of ... veterans claims are being turned down ... or delayed for necessary medical care

it`s embarrassing that our gov`t has to be poked and prodded into giving the necessary funding to people who defended, and to those who are currently defending this country. the conditions that were recently exposed at some of the VA hospitals here in the US were horrifying! you don`t send someone off to war, and then totally ignore them and their war-induced problems when they come back.
it`s bad enough what`s happening to some of the more recent vets; the health issues that some of our older vets are dealing with and the treatment (or non-treatment) they receive is truly a crying shame.
fighting to get the funding for the vets should be a non-issue--the funding should already be in place!
and each returning soldier should be evaluated both physically and mentally upon their discharge from service.
Yes, it should. We ask more of our veterans than almost anyone else in this country, and they already get lousy pay. At the very least, they should have lifetime health care.
Some people will say we can't afford it, but I would point out how much we spend every year. If we PRIORITIZE health care for veterans, we darn well CAN afford it.

Unfortunately, this type of 'mandatory' funding will not be available until 2027. There's a lock on 'mandatory' funding for WHITE PEOPLE who were laid off from the big internet boom. So, the money will be available for anyone fighting in the current oil war that won't end until 20 years from now. In the meantime, many of the homes that are in foreclosure at the moment will be sold to illegal immigrants from mexico, and then resold to the general public at a deep discount because of the taco sauce stains in the floor boards, and hot sauce in the plaster walls.

Why should a someone who becomes President, Vice President, a Congressman, Senator, Governor, First Lady, and have not only Free Health Care, but the best of it, and it continues after they are out of office...and some never spent one day on Active Duty in any branch of the Armed Forces!
There should be Health Care for EVERY "US BORN" CITIZEN, not illegal aliens, which they use our ER's as their health providers, but the hospitals only go after people who hold down a job to get the money for their services!!! What a screwed up system!! (but lets spend trillions of dollars, and send up another space ship, and this stupid war!) and they wonder why people get pissed off!
