How can I change my name in Illinois?

I am looking for a cheap way to change my last name. I am 22 years old and would like to take on my step dads name instead of the one that I currently have. I see many forms online but most of them you have to pay for. Is there anyway to do it for free or very very cheap??

go to the county clerks office and ask them. it may only cost you the price of the filing which would be quite cheap
